My head already hurts.
Finding out that Left Behind is back was one thing, that Nicholas Cage is the star is another. What a match.
Also, the trailer dropped today. It looks like they only spent about the same amount on this one as the others. Why reboot if you’re not going to spend enough money to produce the story well?.Not sure how this got into ‘theaters’ and not straight to the bottom of the Netflix charts. It already looks a decade old.
I assume the usual christian churches rounding each other up to go see the film will take place and we’ll be in for another long time of theological arguments via Facebook posts and argument of all kinds. If the movie’s take on the book/s is off, there’ll be even more fun things to get emails about.
And apparently they plan to do a full trilogy or more.
I think sometimes when christian movies come out it bears a certain weight on all Christians (maybe all westerners) to have everyone need to ask you what you think about it. Maybe I’m having a cynical day?
Maybe this post will begin the very wildfire of Facebook comments between christian camps about christian films, these films,Nicholas Cage, and the End Times.
I’m sorry. I couldn’t help myself.
Now, look deeply into these cagey eyes…
